
TRAFFIC is recruiting a consultant to develop the online database of the Central African Bushmeat Surveillance System (SYVBAC)
Participate in the implementation of SYVBAC by developing a data collection system for TRAFFIC.
Objectives
The specific objectives are as follows :
1. Consolidate the list of data to be collected for the start-up of the selected phase indicators,
2. Based on the list of indicators to be selected, design the SYVBAC pilot data collection system, which will be linked to an online database,
3. Develop or propose and configure any IT tool for data collection, which must be able to operate both on-line and off-line. The tool must include functionalities related to data processing, access and administration rights, and downloads among others,
The consultant can either develop new software, or adapt and propose any relevant IT solution to meet data collection and transmission needs,
4. Set up an API link from the data collection solution, which will then be used to update real-time information in the FOCA information system,
5. Develop a user manual and video (demo) for the system,
6. Support the field test phase.
The consultation will last around 40 days, including the test period around May 5, 2025.

- 1 cover letter summarizing relevant knowledge, skills and experience, as well as motivation to apply (max. one page)
- The technical offer, including the approach to the work, the proposal for the development of the manual and the provision of training, as well as the timetable (max. one page)
- Financial bid (overall budget) for the production of the document (half a page to one page)
- 1 CV, including contact details of three professional references (max. two pages)
- A sworn undertaking that he or she will be fully available for the duration of the contract.
