Cameroon: the winners of Poesam are known
On September 18, 2020 was held the awards ceremony for the winners of the 2020 edition, out of the 188 files evaluated, 3 projects have carried high the Cameroonian entrepreneurship. Notably Na-Ya Limited (health sector) carried Marthe -Sandrine Mpollo who won the 1st prize equivalent to the sum of 2 million FCFA, in addition this project also won the special prize for women worth 1 million FCFA.
The NaYa Limited platform, it is learned, allows the "financing of health care for the most disadvantaged through a mobile application, medical analysis and purchase of drugs online, monitoring of medical records through SMS and email notifications, and the collection of donations of medicines for the poor".
The 2ᵉ competition prize, worth one million FCFA, was won by the SmartA project of Mboulé Ediango, a digital solution to support aquaculture, particularly through the collection, analysis and interpretation of fisheries data, or better control of the health and production of fish ;
The 3rd prize, 500,000 FCFA, was awarded to Thomas Belibi Fotso, who developed a digital platform for ordering and delivering books and textbooks.
According to Frédéric Debord: "Cameroon has often been in the spotlight for the international competition, with actors such as "Caysti", which has now become a reference for educational content platforms, or Serge Njidjou's UAI, 1st prize in the 2019 edition, with its incubator 100% made in Cameroon. For this 10ᵉ edition, of the 188 dossiers evaluated, 13 were selected to go and challenge the champions of other countries in the Middle East and Africa zone, of which Cameroon is part ".
Cameroon can thus continue to hope to win the prizes at the next international competitions.
