Rebecca Enonchong, ambassador for a digital forward-looking centre in Côte d'Ivoire: Centre Yiri

The well-known Cameroonian entrepreneur Rebecca Enonchong, a leading figure in the promotion of technology in Africa, has been chosen as an ambassador for the Yiri Center. Alongside inspiring personalities such as Didier Drogba and Francis Kere, she embodies the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship that drives the center.

A breeding ground for innovation

The Yiri center is a space dedicated to digital professionals and start-ups, offering them modular and collaborative spaces in which innovative ideas can flourish.

Inaugurated on 19 June under the patronage of the Minister for Digital Transition and Digitalisation, Ibrahim Kalil Konaté, the center aims to be an incubator of ideas and an accelerator of talent. Equipped with cutting-edge technological tools, its aim is to stimulate innovation, entrepreneurship and job creation. Themed conferences, pitch competitions and masterclasses on subjects such as artificial intelligence and mobility will punctuate life at the center.

A springboard for Côte d'Ivoire's digital economy

Since its opening on 18 March 2024, Yiri Center has benefited from the support of AGL's infrastructure and programmes, aimed at accelerating the development of start-ups.

Fatou Diomandé, who is in charge of the center, hopes that it will become a melting pot of environmentally-friendly innovations, contributing to the sustainable development of Côte d'Ivoire.

This promising initiative is set to play a crucial role in strengthening the digital ecosystem in Côte d'Ivoire, creating opportunities for young African talent and contributing to the emergence of a prosperous digital Africa.
