POESAM 2019: Thanks to its interconnected incubator, a Cameroonian start-up wins the 2019 Prize
On November 12, 2019, at AfricaCom in Cape Town, South Africa, the Orange telecom group announced the winners of the 9th edition of the Orange Social Entrepreneur Award for Africa and the Middle East (Poesam). The gold medal went to the Cameroonian start-up "Tout souffle compte".
Founded by Serge Armel Njidjou , this start-up manufactures interactive neonatal incubators, remotely controlled by the doctor's smartphone. They help to combat premature infant mortality in Cameroon and Africa.
Thanks to this innovation, the Cameroonian start-up thus rewarded receives a budget of 25,000 euros (approximately 16.5 million FCFA). She also receives personalized support from the Orange Group's experts.
