The industrial revolution at the heart of discussions at African Digital Week 2024
African Digital Week is a digital forum held in Côte d'Ivoire. Its aim is to bring together and promote players in Africa's digital sector. It provides a framework for exchanges on topical issues or those with an impact on the continent's future.
For its 4th edition, taking place from April 19 to 25, African Digital Week is tackling the theme The 4th industrial revolution : (What) promises for Africa? For 4 days, experts from the IT sector and other fields are invited to reflect on Africa's transition to intelligent, connected production systems.
A wide range of participants, including business leaders, teachers and representatives of international cooperation agencies (GIZ), will be taking part. The program includes an exhibition, panels, round-table discussions and feedback. The hackathon or programming marathon open to Ivorian higher education students was launched last Friday, during the inaugural ceremony.
Overall, the forum is an opportunity to discover trends and prospects in digital technology in Africa, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence, connectivity, softwares and intelligent equipments. At the same time, visitors and guests to the island of Boulay, where the event takes place.
