Rwanda : Carnegie Mellon University opens its doors to you
Carnegie Mellon University in Rwanda and the Mastercard Foundation are offering Master's scholarships to young Africans. The students selected will benefit from financial support and personalised guidance.
What is the purpose of the scholarship ?
Carnegie Mellon University in Rwanda (CMU-Rwanda) and the Mastercard Foundation have launched a training programme in Information Technology, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence Engineering. This ambitious programme aims to train a new generation of African talent capable of innovating and contributing to the continent's development.
What are the eligibility criteria ?
Applicants must be nationals of an African country and enrolled in one of the CMU-Africa study programmes. They must demonstrate strong leadership potential and a commitment to Africa ; and be proficient in English, the language of instruction at CMU-Rwanda.
Benefits of the scholarship
Scholarship holders will benefit from assistance in applying for the scholarship, full payment of tuition fees, a monthly living allowance and support for entrepreneurship, among other things.
How to apply ?
Applicants must submit their full application online via the CMU website and complete the competency test. In order for CMU-Africa to cover the cost of your competency test, you must apply by 15 December 2024, which is the early admission deadline.
Any application received after this date will only be considered if accompanied by a valid DET/IELTS/TOEFL. The deadline for applications is 15 January.
