Digital Innovation Week in Cameroon: Serge Stephan Ntyam, winner of the third edition, wins 10 million CFA francs

Through the antivirus developed by his startup, Meye Protect, Serge Stephan Ntyam won the special prize of the President of the Republic.

The digital innovation challenge, which opened in December 2021, is coming to the end with some great discoveries. Out of nearly 300 projects registered for the competition of the best ICT project and 90 projects for the digital challenge, Meye Protect seduced the jury. It is a computer software designed to detect and neutralize malware and protect computers and other IT devices against cybercrime.

The closing ceremony was held on March 18, 2022 at the Center for the Development of the Digital Economy located in Bastos (Yaoundé). Serge Ntyam won a check for 10 million CFA francs and a lot worth 5 million. The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, Minette Libom Li Likeng, who presided over the ceremony, said : this competition is "a proof of the dynamism and productivity of the startup ecosystem in Cameroon.

In closing, the State granted a support of 72 500 000 FCFA to all startups selected during the week of digital innovation 2022. This support includes donations of equipment, training sessions in the field of information technology and communication (ICT).
