The Youth Day, celebrated on February 11 of each year, is an opportunity for the youth to parade throughout the national territory. For two successive years, due to the COVID-19, the big parade had been suspended.

Organized under the theme : "Youth and voluntary participation in the great challenges of Cameroon", this year's celebration is held with various recreational activities on the program.

Under the coordination of the Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mouna Foutsou, many innovations have been made to this edition:

- At the level of the quotas of paraders : the number of people who can parade per school has been reduced from 144 to 49, and the number of people from 121 to 49.  Two squares per district are allowed for the parade at the national level, and one square per school in each district; this is to respect as much as possible the barrier measures to the coronavirus,

- The parade will be extended to the neighborhoods and villages that make up the 360 districts of Cameroon.

In addition, the ministry is planning the implementation of municipal youth councils and the creation of a chamber of junior senators that will complete that of junior deputies.

This celebration was an opportunity to officially launch the national project of civic education for moral rearmament (Pronec-Reamorce) on February 3. This project aims mainly to fight against incivism in general. To achieve this, the concept of "Aprem-jeun" has been set up. It is a platform for debate and reflection between young people and MINJEC officials.

During these meetings, several topics will be discussed online and in person, namely, civic education, community life, volunteering, socio-economic integration.
