
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation scholarship at Chatham House is open until 19 March !
The Mo Ibrahim Foundation, in partnership with Chatham House, offers African professionals the opportunity to develop their careers through leadership training and skills development in international business.
Benefits
During the course, scholarship recipients will have the opportunity to :
- Carry out a personal research project: the scholarship holder selects and designs a personal project to be undertaken with the guidance of a Chatham House expert (approximately 60%),
- Participate in a leadership programme to develop the knowledge, network and skills needed for their future career (approximately 20%),
- Contribute to ongoing research activities: in collaboration with the host research team and other Chatham House teams as appropriate, Fellows contribute to existing research priorities in line with Chatham House's mission (approximately 20%).
In addition, fellows are entitled to a monthly stipend to cover living expenses in London (accommodation, food, transport), travel, visa, health insurance (except dental and ophthalmic) and research costs.
Target group
The scholarship is open to citizens of all African countries, including dual nationals :
- Early to mid-career professionals from academia, NGOs, business, government departments, civil society or the media.
- Candidates with a university degree and research experience, with a strong interest in international affairs.
Entry requirements
To apply for the scholarship, you must :
o Be a citizen of an African country.
o Have at least a university degree and research experience.
o Have an interest in and knowledge of international business.
o Meet the criteria of the ideal candidate (early or mid-career, targeted professional sectors).
The deadline for applications is 19 March 2025.
