As part of its project to train 40,000 developers in Africa, Google has launched a third call for applications. For this edition, the training targets professional and aspiring Android developers and cloud engineers.

Google in partnership with technology talent development companies Pluralsight has launched applications for its Google Africa Developer Scholarship (GADS) program, which trains developers in Africa. For this third edition, it targets Android developers and cloud engineers.

To apply, they must be at least 18 years old and reside in an African country. Applicants can be professional or aspiring developers.

The program offers participants free access to certain courses. These are designed to help learners acquire the skills they need to get a job in technology once they complete the program.

In addition, learners will receive assistance from the Google developer community.

This training is launched as part of the project to train 40,000 developers in Africa, in order to reduce their deficit on the continent.
